While not written from a distinctly Christian perspective, it was interesting to me to find another article on the perspective of seeing gifts in our weaknesses.
Thanks for the link, but I am curious why you think it's not written from a Christian perspective? While I'm not an Evangelical (anymore), I am Catholic and therefore Christian. Many of the early posts on my blog deal with my faith and many of the links are distinctly Christian. While illness has prevented me from attending church as well as limited my blogging in the extreme, it has not completely cut me off from my faith.
Hi Michelle! Thank you for leaving a comment. My heart aches to read how illness has prevented you from being involved in your church and limited your blogging abilities. (You blog remains beautiful and informative, so I can only imagine what it would be if you were at full capacity!)
I didn't choose my wording well. I was not trying to imply that you are not a Christian - I know nothing of your personal faith other than what you have just shared here. To give my readers a feel for where I was sending the link, I was trying to express that the article wasn't "distinctly Christian" (thank you for the better wording - I'll edit the post to reflect that change) as in not based directly around Scripture but rather sharing your general thoughts that could have been from any perspective. I was so excited to find someone else talking about the gifts that come with illness (a topic I'm passionate about) that I didn't think through how to word that carefully enough. Thank you for pointing out your concerns and I'm sorry to have offended you.
