Strokes

In the fall of 2011, Jenni experienced six strokes, impairing her ability to walk, see, hear well or use her left hand. After nearly 2 months in the hospital and rehab, Jenni is now at home. She is posting updates at StrokeOfGrace.blogspot.com.

About This Blog and Its Author

Jennifer Saake has lived with various forms of chronic pain and illness since her pre-teen years, with a dramatic onset of debilitating illness in 1990, just after her 18th birthday and multiple stokes in 2011 at age 39. In the wake of these strokes, she now lives with additional forms of chronic pain and physical disability. In 2013 she was diagnosed with a rare PARAthyroid disease as well. She is the author of Hannah's Hope: Seeking God's Heart in the Midst of Infertility, Miscarriage & Adoption Loss and is currently working on a devotional book on the life of Paul, to offer hope and encouragement in the face of chronic pain and illness. This blog will provide updates on her writing and publication process along with occasional reflection and encouragement she wants to share along the way.
